On 15 November 2009, in the small hall of the Sports Arena "Boris Trajkovski", the final matches in all categories were held. The boxing matches were part of the 39th International and traditional boxing tournament "Golden Gong".The Mayor of the City of Skopje, Mr. Koce Trajanovski, officially presented the Golden Gong to Primislav Angelov, the most successful boxer on the tournament. Boxer Angelov competed in the category of 91 kilograms and he is first in the history who won the first place four times in row.
This year, Angelov also won the Award “13th of November” for the most successful athlete, which was awarded by the Sports Association of Skopje.
On the 39th boxing tournament boxers from Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Scotland, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Poland, Slovenia and Macedonia participated.
The Boxer tournament “Golden Gong” is one of the oldest sports events held in our country which is organized by the Boxer Federation of Macedonia and the Sports Association of Skopje, under the patron of the City of Skopje.
